It's Easy to Dance To and the Singer is Cute: I Give It an 85
Yes, it's time for another completely self-indulgent blogroll revision.
As my regular reader knows, my blogroll is made up of blogs I actually read, sorted by the frequency in which I actually read them. Business here at Functional Ambivalent has increased to the point where I can no longer read, every single day, very good blogs written by very nice people who read and comment and sometimes link to me. This makes me feel, frankly, like a snot, because I remember well six months ago when I started out and no one would return my email. I have become what I hated.
Blogs I like but can not read every day or even every week live in my own personal pull-down menu of favorites. I visit them now and again, and I have felt guilty because my blogroll strategy has meant that I can't acknowledge them at all.
To cure that, I've invented an entirely new category that reflects my blog-visitation habits. I'm calling this category "When I've Got a Moment," because that's how I visit these blogs. These moments are like little luxuries in my life, and I thought about calling the category "Luxuries," but that was too gay, even for me. It made me feel, inexplicably, like I might be turning into George Hamilton. Mr. Hamilton is not, to my knowledge, gay. Despite that, if I were to wake up one morning George Hamilton I would feel gay, so I went with "When I've Got a Moment."
Another one I want to plug is Rodger Payne. Rodger's a professor of something-or-other over at the University of Louisville, and he writes long, informative pieces that draw on lots of sources to make interesting points. How unlike a college professor. I enjoy his blog a lot.
Others have been added or moved around to reflect my current reading habits. No one's on the roll for the sake of mutual promotion, though a couple of them (Hello, GweiloDiaries! Hello, TalkLeft!) have provided me with the bulk of my readers over the last half-year. For this, I am desperately, pathetically, and sincerely grateful.

WOO-HOO!!! I made the list!!! This feels like high school when I was vying for the lead in Bye-Bye Birdie...
