Not the Last Time You'll See "Rita Cosby" and "Dog" In the Same Sentence

Rita Cosby, my new favorite newscaster, seems to be everywhere with everyone. In the photo above, she's with television bounty hunter "Dog" Chapman and his brand new wife Beth at their June wedding.  (Beth is the one who looks like she might be working nights as an Anna Nicole Smith impersonator.  Dog is the guy with the adorned hair on the right.  And, from the looks of things, Rita's date for the event was a waiter she picked up at the buffet.)  Rita refered to Dog as a "good friend" and, on her blog, described Dog's tastefully understated wedding thus:

It seemed like the most magical wedding, complete with a Hawaiian sunset and the groom dressed all in white, arriving on a raft, with a conch shell player announcing his dramatic entrance.

Just the kind of thing to make old Rita go all gushy, that's for sure.

Anyway, Dog was arrested today and, pending no-doubt-televised legal doings, is set to be extradited to Mexico to face charges of illegal bounty hunting. 

Because of Rita's close personal relationship with Dog and his posse of weirdly coiffed ruffians, putative journalist Cosby was able to elicit the following insightful quote from Beth, bride of Dog:

He was in shock. He was, he was shocked. He was shocked and he was amazed...

And shocked, I'd guess.

I, personally, will not be shocked about what will no doubt be the lead story on Rita's awful MSNBC show tonight.
