The Last Time Pictures Made Me Feel This Good, the Berlin Wall Was Coming Down
Andrew Sullivan is posting pictures of gay couples getting married in California. Some of them have been couples for decades, and their joy is not just love made manifest, but freedom as well. Anyone who can look at these pictures and not know absolutely that God intends love for all of us has a heart of stone. We should pray for those who see these pictures and feel threatened.

Those are two pretty hot lesbian brides.....do you think Sullivan has any more....umm.....film of them?
I'm going to hell aren't I?

Anyone who does not understand that "happy" does not necessarily equal "good" does not believe in God, so spare me the idea that not being happy at how big they're smiling is proof that I'm just awful.
These people have not threatened me, but they've put themselves in great danger of Hell. Celebration of that is foolish.
That said, I've been in favor of granting homosexual couples and heterosexual couples a common "civil union" license - and letting people choose the language they will - for some time.
"Forced religion is a stink in God's nostrils," as was famously said.

I'd prefer Civil Unions. But, I get your point.

Reminds me of one of my all time favorite tee shirts.
"I support gay marriage as long as both chicks are hot."

Anybody who posts pictures of semi-hot lesbians and chooses to make a political point...well, there's not much hope for ya.

The totalitarian face of liberalism has shown itself again. No state legislature or state's population supports homosexual "marriage," so the leftist judges step in, contemptuously thumb their noses at us, and subvert the will of We The People. Judicial activism is not democracy, nor is it a (lowercase 'r') republican form of government: it is tyrany.
Occasional commenter Bezza once asked how homosexual "marriage" harms us. Gary Bauer explained a few ways:
* Government agencies, especially schools, would be required to promote homosexuality, and treat homosexuality and heterosexuality as morally equivalent.
* Terms like husband, wife, mother, and father will need to be abolished, as they "privelege" heterosexual relationships.
* Christian charities will continue to be forced out of business because they refuse to comply with same-sex demands.
* Churches that refuse to perform homosexual "marriages" could be subject to punitive measures, including loss of tax-exempt status.
* High schools will no longer be able to have prom kings or queens.
* Single-sex sports could be banned.
* Ministers who preach that homosexuality is sinful could be jailed--it's already happened in Europe.
The most radical change of all is that the legalization of homosexual "marriage" forces society to redefine traditional marriage. Ultimately, it means the destruction of heterosexual marriage as heterosexual marriage. There will be no more notion that there is something special about the male-female union that forms the foundation of society and propagates the species. The notion that marriage is something that is greater than ourselves, something that exists outside ourselves, something that is more than the sum of its parts--these ideas are already under attack. Full legalization of homosexual "marriage" will kill those ideas, and thereby destroy traditional marriage.
A commenter at the second site wrote:
"My marriage is affected because it has been redefined, without my consent, to mean something it did not mean before, and because the special honor that attaches itself to my marriage has been stripped away by the inclusion of a totally different order of relationship."
Thus is the way of liberalism and its promotion of individual wants: the destruction of all traditions, including those that serve societal needs.
