I thought the questions in the second debate were often very good.
Unfortunately, both candidates (McCain more than Obama, but both to maddening levels) so often refused to directly answer the question. You had to wonder what was going on in the asker's mind while they droned on about their talking points instead of what they were asked.

I think a question similar to the first was posed to Gov Palin in the VP debate...but she kinda went all Mavericky and talked about something wholly unrelated.
