Conventions are a thing of the past, and we should let them go.

Face it, everyone knew who the candidate would be, just as everyone knows who the GOP candidate will be. Save us all a couple-$10 million and just lose them.

And before anyone starts talking "Decomcratic Process", tell me exactly why they gave the nomination to someone nearly ALL Dems have a beef with, when Howard Dean represents just about the perfect Dem President? Seems like this was more a press conference than a vote of acclamation... "Yeah, Dean... we know. But this guy has a chance at winning! Yeah, he's wishy-washy... sure, but if we picked a real Dem, we'd LOSE."
