A recent survey discovers that fans of woman's professional golf drink more wine than fans of any other sport. Viewers of LPGA events drank an average of nearly $125 on wine last year.
The fastest growth in wine consumption was among fans of the NFL, who spent 63 percent more on wine in 2006 than they did in 2005, running up a tab of $94.30. A significant amount of that increase is attributable to Rex Grossman's irritating performance as quarterback of the Chicago Bears. I know it drove me to drink.
Only $125 ??
