I still like February, but I'm partisan: it's the home to both Washington's and Lincoln's birthdays, Valentine's Day, Leap Day (which was my dog's birthday), several friends' birthdays, and, of course, my very own Squid-day.

Incidentally, I was just reading about Geert Wilders, the Dutch politician. How I wish we had someone like him in America! He put my thoughts into words:

"I don't hate Moslems. I hate Islam."
"Islam is not a religion, it's an ideology."

Like Wilders, I want our European-based Judeo-Christian culture to be recognized as the dominating culture (in America, it's the WASP culture). This does not equate to a desire to imprison those of other cultures (or whatever other non sequitur some may come up with); it means denying multiculturalism and returning to our roots.* (By the way, how did multiculturalism work out for the USSR, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, and Iraq?)

Well, I don't expect much of a response, what with Tom taking some time off. We'll still be here when you get back.

*Some readers will insert a scurrilous thought about going back to Jim Crow, etc. here. That's not what I'm about. However, I do wish we would undo Johnson's "Great Society"; it did more to harm the black family than any other social program since slavery. What's more, one of the reasons I oppose the presence of illegal aliens in the US is the huge economic damage they do to my fellow citizens who are black (post-Katrina rebuilding of New Orleans being the most prominent example).
