If you're a Republican big-time donor in 2011, why would you give you money to Sarah Palin? She'll be running against an incumbent and her negative numbers are through the roof. Surely you can find another candidate with her positives and back him or her instead. The MSM and right wing blogs might consider her a front runner for the next 3 years, but when it's time to get to real campaign planning and fundraising, she'll disappear quickly.
Between her witch doctor and his exorcisms, we'd at least have fewer devils in Washington.
