Last year, as my regular reader remembers, I donated a wine tasting to a local charity auction. This year, because I am apparently emotionally needy, I did it again.
Here's the thing: the same people bought the tasting, but they paid less for it. I think that means they liked me, just not that much.
You needed to open the bidding up to us, your devoted fans. We would have gladly paid for the opportunity to see you put on snooty wine tasting airs.

What if -- I mean just what if -- it isn't even about you? Maybe -- just maybe -- it's about the wine?

Don't be silly. Of course it's about me.

Your wine tasting was the only item in the live auction with more than a couple of bids. It was one of the more successful items of the night. The rest got hardly a reaction from the crowd. Overall, the event did so poorly they canceled the Lexington counterpart.
