Fish, what world do you live in? Jackson has played no significant role in Democratic politics for ten years. He doesn't speak at the convention, doesn't campaign with the candidates, and in the last presidential election the only role he played was muttering bitterly that he'd like to cut Senator Obama's balls off. That's not distance?

No matter, They'll trot Jesse out the next time Obamas street cred needs polishing or something overtly racial requires Jesse's beneficence to get the administration through a tough patch. Just wait for it for it is surely coming.

There hasn't been a repudiation of Jesse, his practice of shakedowns nor do I expect one.

Its okay to dislike the way both sides play.
